Introduction to Blackwork Embroidery

Create a small Blackwork sampler while discovering the beauty of this striking counted-thread embroidery style. Traditionally worked in black thread on white fabric, Blackwork can also be stitched in colour or with metallic threads.

With embroidery artist Becky Edmunds, you’ll learn how to read and follow Blackwork patterns and work with evenweave fabric and embroidery threads. This playful workshop will help you build the skills to continue stitching confidently on your own — it’s not as complicated as it looks.

All materials are provided, so you only need to bring your curiosity and a steady hand. Each course has a maximum of 10 participants.
